Our Story

Three lights. One family home.

Casa Tres Luces was named for our three daughters — our three lights — and for the life our family has built around this place in Sámara.

Why Tres Luces

The name came before the brand.

Tres Luces means “three lights.” For us, those lights are our three daughters. The name was personal long before it became something we imagined sharing with guests.

Casa became the place where our family could slow down, reconnect, and settle into the rhythm of Sámara — beach days, long meals, warm nights, and the kind of time together that feels harder to find at home.

When we're not here, we like the idea that another family can make the house theirs for a little while too.

Why Sámara

A place that feels easy to belong to.

We love Sámara because it feels lived in, not staged. It has enough energy to make a week interesting and enough ease to let the week unfold on its own.

The beach, the town, the people, the food, and the pace have become part of our family story. That is what we hope guests feel too — not simply that they visited Costa Rica, but that for a few days they had a place here.

Stay like you belong here.
The art of Casa

Sámara on the walls.

Casa features original work by local Sámara artist Pulposki. The pieces bring color, personality, and a real connection to the place around the home.

They are not generic tropical decoration. They are part of what makes Casa feel distinctly here.

Connected to Sámara

Personal ownership. Local relationships.

Casa is our family's home, but caring for it well depends on people in Sámara. We want that relationship with the community to be visible in how Casa operates.

01

CREAR

A portion of Casa bookings supports CREAR and its college scholarship work in the Sámara community.

02

Samara Rentals

Guests have professional local support on the ground while staying in a home that remains personally owned by our family.

03

Local character

From the art inside the house to the people who care for it, Casa is shaped by Sámara rather than simply placed inside it.

Nick, owner and host of Casa Tres Luces
Your host

Hi, I’m Nick.

Tres Luces is our family’s home, not an anonymous rental. I manage the hospitality side of the house personally and want booking directly with us to feel clear, responsive and easy.

Before your trip, I’m your point person for reservation questions. During your stay, Samara Rentals gives you dependable local support in Sámara. You get both: a host who cares deeply about the home and a local team close by.
